Most of your customers will use their automated booking confirmation email as their receipt of purchase, but sometimes they will ask you for a receipt.

You can easily send a receipt for any booking directly from your Stripe account. Here's how:

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Log in to Stripe

  1. Go to Stripe and log into your account.

  2. You will land on your dashboard, which shows an overview of payments.

2. Locate the Payment

  1. Navigate to the Payments page in Stripe.

  2. Find the specific payment you want to issue a receipt for:

    • Scroll through the list of transactions, or

    • Use the search bar and enter the customer’s email address to find their payment quickly.

3. Send the Receipt

  1. Click on the relevant payment to open its details.

  2. Scroll down until you see the Send Receipt option.

  3. Click Send Receipt.

  4. Enter the customer’s email address (if not already pre-filled).

  5. Click Send.

4. Confirm the Receipt Was Sent

  • Stripe will show a history log confirming that the receipt has been sent.

  • The customer will then receive a professional-looking receipt by email.

  • If you’ve added your business logo in Stripe’s settings, it will appear on the receipt.

That’s it! You’ve successfully sent a formal receipt to a customer using Stripe. While BookThatIn handles automatic booking confirmations, Stripe is the place to go if you need to resend or create an official receipt.
