Custom Values in Book That In AutoMate are powerful tools that allow you to streamline your automation workflows, especially when you need to reuse the same workflow for multiple campaigns.

Rather than updating information (like event names or addresses) in every single message in the workflow, you can update a Custom Value once, and it will automatically update across all your communications - saving you time and effort.

This tutorial will guide you through setting up and using custom values in Automate, ensuring your email and SMS campaigns stay consistent and easy to manage.

    • Click the custom values icon at the top.

    • Scroll to the bottom of the dropdown that appears and select “Custom Values.”

    • Choose the custom value you created (e.g., Annual Event Name).

    • The system will insert curly bracket merge tags (e.g., {{custom.annual_event_name}}).

When the campaign runs, your messages will automatically display the current value (e.g., “We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Peppa Pig Extravaganza!”).
