Price Bands allow you amazing flexibility when setting up your booking options for your events and classes.

You can use Price Bands so you can offer your customers the option to book in a single session (also known as Drop In Classes or Pay As You Go sessions).

You can offer this option alongside a full block option, or a block of sessions, and you can charge a different price - so your customers are incentivised to book more sessions.

This video shows you how to create a drop in or single session Price Band ticket option:

Steps to Create a Single Session Price Band

Step 1: Open Group Overview

  1. Log in to BookThatIn.

  2. Go to Business > Group Overview.

  3. Find your class (e.g. Music Class).

Step 2: Access Price Bands

  1. Click Options > Price Bands next to your class.

  2. You will see your existing price bands (e.g. Full Term / Block).

Step 3: Create a New Price Band

  1. Click Create Price Band.

  2. Fill in the details:

    • Name: e.g. Single Session.

    • Description: e.g. Book your place for one class.

Step 4: Configure the Price Band

  1. Choose Fixed Number of Sessions (not Auto Calculator).

  2. Set Number of Sessions to 1.

  3. Choose between:

    • Consecutive Dates: Customer is automatically booked into the next session in the block.

    • Pick and Choose Dates: Customer can select any available session in the block (recommended for drop-ins).

  4. Set Number of Attendees: 1 (or more if the ticket should cover multiple people).

  5. Enter the Cost (e.g. £15).

    • Tip: You can set a higher per-session cost than the block price to encourage full-term bookings.

Step 5: Save and Test

  1. Click Create to save the price band.

  2. Refresh your booking page.

  3. When customers click Book, they will now see both:

    • The Full Block option.

    • The Single Session option.

If they choose the single session, they can select one or more dates from the block (if using Pick and Choose).

Conclusion

You’ve now added a single session (drop-in) price band to your class. This allows customers to book individual sessions without committing to the full block, while still keeping the block option available.
