How to sell products and add upsell options to your bookings using Price Bands and Extras

Whilst Book That In is a system that primarily allows businesses to take bookings for events, you may also want to give your customers the option to buy products, or additional services from you when they book.
These could be considered 'upsells' or 'extras'.
For example, a ballet dance class might also sell ballet shoes; a campsite might offer electric hook up for an additional fee; a trade show might offer an upgrade to a bigger table.
The possibilities are endless! And you can increase the value of your sales by offering these kinds of upsells by creating Product Extras in Book That In.

This video shows you how you can create Extras to sell products:
Step 1: Open Price Bands
Log in to your BookThatIn account.
Go to Business > Group Overview.
Find the class or event where you want to offer a product (e.g. Music Class or Craft Class).
Click Options > Price Bands.
Step 2: Create a Product Extra
In the Price Bands screen, click Extras.
Select Create New Extra.
Fill in the details:
Name: e.g. T-shirt.
Description: e.g. Buy a branded class T-shirt.
Type: Choose Product (not Pick and Choose Dates).
Cost: Enter the product price.
If you want this product to appear across all bookings, tick the Global option.
Click Link to save.
Step 3: Test Your Booking Flow
Go to your booking page.
Select a class and choose a price band (e.g. Single Session).
On the extras screen, you should now see your product available for purchase (e.g. T-shirt).
Step 4: Collect Additional Information (Optional)
If your product requires extra details, such as sizes or colours, you can collect this during the booking process.
Go to Custom Fields in your BookThatIn account.
Create a dropdown or text field (e.g. Select T-shirt Size).
Add this field to your booking form so customers can provide the necessary details.
Conclusion
By adding products as extras, you can sell additional items such as T-shirts, uniforms, or packs alongside class bookings. This is an effective way to provide convenience for your customers and increase your sales.
