How do I check if a refund has been processed successfully and how long does it take to process?

When a refund is processed, the 'Cost' field in Book That In is updated to reflect the amount the customer has paid you, including the refund. You can view this from the register:
Open up the register
Click on the top of one of the columns where is says 'User' or 'Participant', and select 'Cost' from the dropdowns.
The screen will load the amount everyone has paid - if the amount for the customer is correct (e.g. a full refund will show 0), then the refund has been processed.
You can also check directly within Stripe:
Simply login to Stripe, search for the customer's email address, click the payment you have refunded, and you will be able to see from there if the payment has been refunded plus its status.Β
Stripe advise that it can take up to 5-10 days for a refund to be processed, though it is often quicker than that. It will normally take longer if there isnβt enough money in your account to honour the refund - in this situation, Stripe will take the money from your bank account or you will need to deposit funds into your Stripe account yourself.
