How to get paid from Book That In: Stripe payouts to your bank account

Where your booking money goes, when Stripe pays it into your bank account, and what to check if a payout is missing or delayed.

When a customer pays for a booking, the money is processed by Stripe and paid to the bank account connected to your Stripe account. Book That In does not hold a balance for you to withdraw.

Where is my money?

Stripe collects the payment, then sends the available balance to your nominated bank account as a payout. You can see the progress of each payment and payout in your Stripe Dashboard.

Before you worry that money is missing, check the three things below.

  1. Check that Stripe has your bank account details

Open Stripe’s Payout settings: https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/money-management

You should see the bank account that Stripe will use for payouts. If it is missing or out of date, add or update it there. Stripe may also ask you to complete verification details before it can send payouts.

  1. Check your payout schedule

In Stripe, open Balances, then Payouts. Stripe normally sends payouts automatically, but the schedule and settlement time depend on your Stripe account and country.

Your first payout can take longer while Stripe completes its checks. After that, payments must first become available in your Stripe balance before they can be paid out. Your Payouts page shows the expected bank deposit date for each payout.

  1. Check the right Stripe pages

  • Balances shows money that is pending, available, or on its way to your bank.

  • Payouts shows transfers Stripe has sent, including the expected arrival date.

  • Payments shows each individual customer payment. Open a payment for its status and fee breakdown.

Why is the payout lower than the booking total?

The amount Stripe pays into your bank account is usually lower than the amount your customer paid because Stripe’s processing fees and Book That In’s transaction fee are deducted from the payment first. Open the individual payment in Stripe to see the exact breakdown.

There is no withdraw button in Book That In because payouts are managed by Stripe. If your Stripe payout schedule is set to manual, you will need to initiate the payout from Stripe or change it to automatic.
