By default, these emails are sent from support@bookthatin.com, but you can update this to use your own email address, as long as your domain has been authenticated first.

This guide assumes your domain is already authenticated with Book That In. If it is not, you must complete that step before continuing.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: Check domain authentication
Before making any changes, confirm that your domain has been authenticated with Book That In.

If it has not, contact support@bookthatin.com and let us know you want to authenticate your domain. This process involves adding DNS records to your domain. There is no point continuing with the steps below until this is completed.

Step 2: Open company settings
Log in to your Book That In account and go to your Company Settings.

Step 3: Go to the Email tab
Within Company Settings, find and click on the Email tab on the right-hand side.

Step 4: Update the sent from email
Click the button labelled “Update sent from email”.

You will see a warning reminding you that this will not work unless your domain has been authenticated. If you proceed without authentication, all outgoing emails will stop.

Click OK to continue.

Step 5: Enter your new email address
Type in the email address you want your templated emails to be sent from. The domain MUST match the authenticated Domain in Step 1.

Step 6: Save the changes
Click Update. All templated emails will now use the new email address.

Important Notes

  • This change only affects templated emails, such as booking confirmations and cancellation emails.

  • Ad hoc emails sent from the group overview or the client area will still be sent from support@bookthatin.com for now.

  • This behaviour may change in the future, but at the time of recording, only templated emails are affected.

If you have any questions or run into issues, contact the Book That In support team for assistance.
